Introduction
Brigid was one of the Tuatha de danann, the children of the Danu. She is the Goddess of Healing, poetry, and smithing, in some traditions she is also the protector Goddess and patron of small animals.
Her feast day is Imbolc, where takes the mantle of maiden, using in the beginning of spring, she is often connected with the sacred milk given to Ewes. Dandelions, which first come in Spring, are referred to as Brigid Candles, and follow the direction of the Sun.
