Myrrh is a Resin from the Commiphora native to Africa and the Middle East. Am Aromatic Resin used in perfumes and medicines since ancient times. 
In the Christian mythos it was given to Yeshua, symbolic of his Death. It was said to be used for anointing the Dead to prepare them for burial.
Used for protection, healing, concecration and honouring the Dead- Anubis for example enjoys an Incense of Frankincense and Myrhh.
