Energy Healing: The Ultimate Guide

Energy healing has been around for centuries and is a popular alternative therapy and healing modality that promotes healing, wellness, and balance within the body. This form of healing uses subtle energy fields to balance and promote a healthy flow of energy throughout the body. In this ultimate guide, we'll dive into the world of energy healing, including what it is, how it works, and the different types of energy healing practices available today.

What is Energy Healing?

Energy healing is a holistic therapy that focuses on the flow of energy throughout the body. It is based on the principle that everything in the universe is made up of energy, including the human body. Energy healing works on the principle that energy can be channelled and projected into a place, object or person to promote empowerment, balance and harmony. This is achieved through a range of techniques that aim to clear, balance, and stimulate an object's energy field or the body's energy centres or chakras.

How does Energy Healing Work?

Energy healing works on the principle that the human body has a natural ability to heal itself. The energy that flows through the body can be disrupted or blocked, which can lead to physical, emotional, and mental health issues. Energy healing practitioners use a range of techniques to help remove these blockages and promote a healthy flow of energy throughout the body. This can include techniques such as Reiki, acupuncture, acupressure, and sound healing.

As objects, such as Crystals, ritual tools, places in nature or a building have their own energy field, this too can be worked on at an energetic level to empower, or charge the object/place with energy and intent. Simply holding an object in one hand and allowing the energy to flow out of the hands, with an intention, empowers the object with potent energy.

Types of Energy Healing Practices

There are many different types of energy healing practices available today. Some of the most popular include:

  1. Reiki - A Japanese technique that uses the practitioner's hands to channel Universal Life Force Into the body. Typically Sacred Symbols will be drawn over the Client, that help empower the healing in some way, these include Physical, Emotional and Symbols to get to the root of the issue.

  2. Pranic Healing- An Eastern form of healing involving Pranic breathing and transmission of Pranic Energy into the recipient.

  3. Acupressure - A similar technique to acupuncture, but instead of needles, pressure is applied to specific points on the body. This modality works on the principle that Chi (Life Force) is blocked at various Chi points in the body, the stimulation of those points promotes healing, wholeness and balance.

  4. EFT/EFT Energy - Based on Acupressure, formed from TFT (Thought Field Theory), EFT works in a similar way to Acupressure, however it has a distinct difference in that it uses specific “Tapping” (gentle tapping on Acupressure Points) to help relieve pain, phobias, reduce anxiety, change beliefs and so much more!

  5. Sound Healing - A technique that uses sound vibrations to promote healing and relaxation. Items such as Drums, Rattles, Pipes, Singing bowls or Gongs are used to disrupt blocked energy creating balance and harmony to promote healing.

  6. Crystal Healing - A practice that uses crystals and gemstones to balance and heal the body's energy centres. This technique can include placing Crystals on the recipient, the use of a pendulum, or a crystal wand.

  7. Shamanic Energy Healing - A form of Shamanic Healing that channels natural Energies and combines it with a wide range of Shamanic Healing Techniques like Soul Retrieval. Shamanic healing will differ from other modalities in that it will be done in the form of a Ceremony.

Benefits of Energy Healing

Energy healing has numerous benefits for both physical, mental/emotional and spiritual health. It can help to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, and promote feelings of relaxation and calmness. It can also help to relieve pain, improve sleep, and boost the immune system. Energy healing can be used alongside conventional medicine or as a standalone therapy.

What can happen during a session

Typically all healing will start with a consultation, where the practitioner will learn more about the clients needs and may include some form of intuitive reading. The Client will then be talked through what will happen during the session, the type of techniques involved and what to expect.

The Client then may be guided to sit or lie down in a comfortable position, soothing, calm music will then be played, incense may be burned (depending on the Lung health of the Client and allergies). The Client may be guided into a relaxing meditation, like a place in nature such as a Forest or Beach.

The Practitioner may call on Spirit Guides, and Spirit Helpers such as Power Animals, Totems and other beings to help guide the healing session, promoting a deeper healing.

There may be some form of energy clearing to start with, where the Practitioner may clear energy blocks, or old stagnant energies from the energy system and field (known as the Aura). The Practitioner may then place their hands on or over certain energy centres of the body (depending on comfort level of the Client) or use other items such as sound healing tools, crystals etc.

After the session is completed the Practitioner will typically feed back to the Client what happened during the session and may give guidance on how to heal further, including suggesting meditations or other practices that may help.

Conclusion

Energy healing is a powerful alternative therapy that can promote healing, balance, and wellness within the body. With a range of different techniques available, there is an energy healing practice suitable for everyone. Whether you are looking to reduce stress and anxiety, relieve pain, or simply promote overall health and wellbeing, energy healing is definitely worth exploring.
